Birthday

Few days back was my brother's birthday and there was this list of things he wanted.I do remember my mother used to cook delicious dishes on our birthdays and invite our friends.

The morning used to be a good bath. Then we used to sit in Asans and infrent of us was thali in that dhan and dhubhow(bengali term used for green colored grains and special grasses)and chandan and a must payesh(rice kheer). One by one the elder persons which were my mother and father will put chandan in our forehead and dhan, dhubhow on our heads and one tbsp of payesh inside our mouth and we will touch our parents feet.

Then we will rush to school with packets of choclates. Here in School after the attendence i will take the choclate packet and give first to my teacher and then the students of my class after that i will take my best friend with me and together we will go to each class and give choclates to the teacher and also to the principal.I do remember that day i was special and all students treate me specailly(becos i have choclates).

After school also the enjoyment continues as my mother would invite the children in our colony and close friends of mine in the evening. There were these sweets and puri and chicken and ofcourse the big cake. And who can forget the loads of gifts pouring in.

Gone are those days.I do celebrate my birthday now also but quitely with my husband by going somewhere out but the birthday celebrations during school and college were really forever there to cherish.

Blogging

I have noticed that if we do write a blog we explode the inner self image and ponder it on the blog.If u write you feel a belonging and keeping your own views to the world. There is nobody to question you or to rectify you.

When i become angry i do write few lines to the blog and i feel releived and inner beautiness comes out not the anger.

I realise that whoever writes develops a cool and calm attitude towards each aspect of life and broader view on any subject.

Thats the reason i said that scrapping is a Good Art.

SUPERMARKETS

I use to do my monthly groceries shopping from Supermarkets(viz Food World,Fab Mall etc).By the month beginning itself all my groceries are with me.The concept of Supermarkets are really good. All the things like groceries and vegetables, meat, fish all under one roof.

I tried buying from local shops(by my husband's advice) but i ended up upsetting myself by buying bad quality products and branded ones from this small shops have old stock. So i continued with my favorite supermarket shopping funda.

This time i had a new experience as we shifted to new house we went to the Food World in Bannerghatta Road which was really good and quite big. When browsing through the items while billing i noticed that i have bought many things which were not needed immediately(but i stock them as required in Future).

There is always some kind of offer in this Supermarkets to get one packet free if u buy one.For instance my husband took two packets of Moong Dal becos one was free with another.I really don't know when the Dal will finish????This are some small marketing fundas which effect the pocket.

Even though i have bought many food items from FoodWorld i had to go to Fab Mall for some of the items. So see many a time Supermarkets also cant't fulfill its Superness.

But i should tell you that the products from here are genuine and can't be quesioned.

Autowallas.........

When you are in an Auto u feel being cheated when the Bill comes really big and to the top of it if you are new to the City. You feel that the Autowalls have taken a long route and that is true if in a new city you dont know the route and they take a long one(as u add to their bucks).

I have experienced this in Chennai a lot where there are long distance between the places(its a metro dear). In chennai the Autos dont charge according to the meter and you have a fix rate(if you are new they charge you more so always bargain).Another thing to that Autowallas dont speak Hindi. If you speak English they understand and speaks but thinks you as a big party and charges more and if you speak in Hindi they say i dont know Hindi. So what is the only solution left is to know TAMIL.

When i got married and shifted to Bangalore i saw that Autos go according to meters.Autowalls speak and understand Hindi.Though the Bangalore City is too small compared to Chennai i found a smilarity in both of the places or rather say where ever in India, which is...................

Firstly the Autowalls drive very harshly and breaking always the Rule(Though i never saw a policeman objecting that). They always try to reach first always in competion never bothering about the passenger(who might have an heartattack if he drives with such a speed) even with such a speed driving they always have a narrow escape.

Secondly always they dont have change. If u give them 100Rs they say we dont have change even though they have and the poor passenger always have to carry a change(it is real headache and sometimes it goes to the nerves).

Thirdly they never will take a passenger who has to travel for 1km,the logic they give is it is very near. Then what shall the poor passenger who is old and cant walk will do????They never care.

I cant think more to add on this but the add ons are welcomed.
